Gerrit Westland

Gerrit has an extensive background in strategic advisory and technical financial analysis for global, multi-billion dollar corporations in the insurance, technology and renewable energy sectors.

Prior to joining Chelsea Avondale, Gerrit worked with KPMG in New York where he oversaw financial modelling and valuation services. He has overseen valuations of over $200 billion in private equity assets for many of the world’s most prestigious funds. Gerrit has also worked in M&A advisory for middle market companies in Canada, primarily focused in the telecommunications, media & technology space, and in strategy consulting for businesses in the UK.

At Chelsea Avondale, Gerrit leads the group’s strategic transformation initiatives and oversees its legal, governance, and administrative functions. His intricate knowledge of the group’s operating dynamics and his background in finance and strategy make him uniquely positioned for leading Chelsea Avondale’s operations as the group scales.

Gerrit holds a Master’s degree in Finance & Private Equity from the London School of Economics in the U.K. and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Ottawa in Canada.
