Jake Schmidt

Jake is a pivotal member of the team driving the growth of Chelsea Avondale, navigating complex business issues, and instilling operational excellence within the organization.

Jake is responsible for spearheading strategic growth initiatives with the Group's distribution partners, finding & vetting prospective partnerships, and implementing board & investor relations activities. He also leads the operations team for the Group, managing the legal, governance, compliance, and human resource functions at Chelsea Avondale.

As Senior Vice President, Jake applies his extensive legal background in managing the growth & risk of the organization. Prior to joining Chelsea Avondale, Jake held roles at the prestigious law firms of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York City and Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP in Toronto. In both roles, he was a member of teams advising on complex legal issues and cuttingedge strategic pursuits. He has participated in large cross-border public offerings, multi-billion dollar balance sheet reorganizations, and a number of significant M&A and financing transactions.

His experience advising on a wide range of complex transactional and practical legal issues, in combination with his comprehensive understanding of the Group's business objectives & governance environment, makes him uniquely positioned to facilitate growth at Chelsea Avondale as it executes on its expansion strategies.

Jake holds a J.D. from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, and is licensed to practice law in both the State of New York and the Province of Ontario.
