Integrations Lead – Chelsea Avondale
Michael works with external technology providers and business partners to connect their systems with Skynet, Chelsea Avondale’s proprietary pricing and policy administration platform. His work supports the use of Skynet by brokers, clients and Max Insurance staff, drawing on experience across back-end engineering, front-end development and artificial intelligence.
Since joining Chelsea Avondale in 2020, Michael has contributed to the development of Skynet’s billing system, back-end services and substantial portions of its user interface, including its map visualization tools. His external integration work includes broker APIs and connections with RateBridge and Acturis. More recently, he has contributed to AI integrations and support automation initiatives.
Michael works directly with business teams to understand their processes and identify where software can address difficulties in their day-to-day work. He also works with external companies to establish how their systems need to interact with Skynet and translate those requirements into working integrations.
Michael began his software engineering career at Chelsea Avondale after graduating from university. Initially focused on back-end development and external integrations, he subsequently took on front-end responsibilities before assuming his current role.
Michael holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, where he completed the Computer Science specialist program.
